Despite what you may think of Conor hes done a fantastic job with this establishment. The food is great and he could easily charge more but tries to keep the prices more affordable for the locals. Ive also heard he takes very good care of his staff.

Here in New Zealand at the better fish and chip shops you can get karge portions of chips made on site plus fish caught the same day for around 8-15 NZ $, about 4 to 8 UK £s. I watch Rick's shows and this seems quite out of character. Would he eat this stuff himself?

What an amazing cafe! Everything looked top notch before it was even tasted. I’m a sucker for great presentation, but obviously it’s the taste that counts. As soon as I saw the scrambled eggs, I was salivating, they looked like perfection, cooked beautifully and creamy, just as I like mine. I haven’t tried truffle on them, but your reaction said it all about how they tasted! Every component of the meals looked like a Michelin starred establishment. As you say, the proprietor should be proud of himself, as that food is up with the best. And my final point is price. Greater food of that quality, costs good money, and from my perspective, that food actually represents fantastic value. I thought the breakfast alone was quite exceptional for the money. So great that your burgeoning community is pointing out these gems. It really showcases how great British food can be.

It would probably be better if Gordon Ramsay was actually doing the cooking himself but that’s not going to happen

i live in the US and Taco Bell is the last thing i’d ever eat. it’s fake Mexican food (don’t confuse the two!) and absolutely awful. mostly drunk and stoned people eat there . that mince looked like dog food.

This video demonstrated one of my bugbears. The food was excellent, the ambience was top notch, so why let all that down with cheap, flimsy cutlery? Nothing spells lack of attention to detail as the cutlery you were given at this pub. Even our issue KFS in the Army of the 50s/60s were superior in quality.

What a great video. My mother was born in the flats right across! She used to take us there as children, even when we moved to Scotland. Unfortunately she passed away last week. Her funeral tomorrow.

Do yourself a favour and travel down to The Thorverton Arms. Cousy is a terrific chef..... I avoid posh places in London town, well let's be honest, I avoid London town whenever I can..
